I swear, these brain-farts are killer! I can't remember anything anymore!
When I posted on Monday, I totally forgot to mention that we had our thirty-two week appointment scheduled for yesterday. And then I forgot to post after we got home about how it went. Man...what am I going to do with myself?? The scary thing is, I hear it gets worse after you deliver---aahhh! Heaven help my poor child and those around me who expect me to remember anything important! lol
Ok, so while it's on my mind and while I can actually remember the details, let me give y'all a quick update from the appointment!
Everything looked good as far as my blood pressure and weight. Their scale showed I've gained a little over 18 pounds so far, but thanks to this pesky constipation that has plagued me for the last FOUR DAYS (ugh), I have a feeling a pound or so of that are from all the food this weekend...including that box of chinese food I scarfed down the day on Monday...lol. But either way, my numbers all looked good--PTL!
Reagan's heart rate was nice and strong at about 140 beats per minute, and she even did a little wiggle for Dr S while he was trying to measure it and my belly. She's such a ham already! My fundal height (top of the uterus) is measuring at 29cm this week, which he said is a little small for being 32.5 weeks (their office likes to see the gestational age +/- 3cm), BUT when he heard that she was measuring 4.5 pounds on the ultrasound Friday, he wasn't very concerned. He said that both the fundal height and the ultrasound are both "rough estimates" of her size, and that he feels confident she will be small (like six pounds) or average size (seven pounds) when she's born. Whew. Thank God, cause the thought of a nine pounder scares the ba-jesus out of me! LOL!
We also discussed the possibility of preterm (early) labor (to prepare me mentally, just in case). Babies are considered "full term" at thirty-seven weeks, but he said if I were to go into full blown labor (regular, strong contractions and having broken my water) at thirty-four weeks, he wouldn't stop me from delivering. If this were to happen before thirty-four weeks, he would give me a shot of steroids that would help to finish maturing Reagan's lungs before birth. If I just had contractions but no leaking of fluid or anything, he would give me a drug (Magnesium Sulfate) to hopefully stop the contractions and keep her baking in the oven a little while longer. This actually made me feel a lot better hearing that thirty-four weeks would be an acceptable (although still early) time frame to have her! In the beginning, I thought I would be late delivering (my actual "guess" was August 1st), but for some reason, I've had a sneaking suspicion over the last few weeks that she might actually be slightly early (kind of like the feeling that hit me all of a sudden that Peanut was a girl ;) ). God knew what I needed to hear to calm my nerves and give me peace, and He delivered at my appointment yesterday! :)
Since everything looks a-okay, I'll go back in two weeks for another routine visit, and then again at thirty-six weeks, where he'll check my cervix to see if I'm beginning to dilate at all. That's when the weekly visits should start, which is super exciting! Heck, I'm super excited already--I can't imagine being any MORE excited!! lol
Okay doke, time to tackle some chores around here! I'm still planning on posting about the shower and nursery tomorrow (if these annoying brain-farts don't get me again!), so I'll see you back here then!
By the way...today's Verse of the Day is Deuteronomoy 31:8, which says, "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." I felt like God wanted me to share this today, so I hope it helps to encourage you, no matter what your situation may be!
"But if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea', and it would obey you." -Luke 17:6

Thirty-Two Weeks and Our 4D Ultrasound
Happy Monday, everyone!
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend---I know Reagan and I did! Not only did we get to celebrate hitting the eight month mark, but we also got to see Meme and Papa (my parents), see her on the 4D ultrasound, AND partake in a SPECTACULAR baby shower! It was a whirlwind couple of days, but oh-so fun!
I plan on posting some pictures from the baby shower and of Peanut's nursery (which is about 99% complete and blog-worthy now---yaaaaay!) a little later this week. Today, I'll just update you all on her progress and show you a few pics from the ultrasound we had on Friday (which was, by the way, such an amazing experience!).
Let's start with our thirty-two week update...
Symptoms:
-backache
-achy hips/legs
-indigestion
-nausea (on and off...mainly when I'm getting hungry or when I've stuffed myself like a tick)
-sore/even bigger tah-tahs (yes, folks, they continue to grow...I even had to break down and go buy myself some bigger bras--nursing bras--to get through the next few months and in preparation for her arrival!)
-restlessness (Reagan and I both have been waking up around 2am and can't go back to sleep...makes for a long day, let me tell ya!)
-fatigue (hmmm...I wonder why...lol)
-bright blue veins everywhere (tah-tah's, belly, hips, legs...thank God I've gotten a little tan, which helps mask them a little!)
-Braxton Hicks contractions (oh my...these are not fun! Although it's not necessarily painful, my belly gets hard as a rock, which makes it hard to move while it's going on. They usually only last 20-90 seconds, and some are worse than others. I have been having them more frequently lately; after a particularly busy day on my feet Friday, I had as many as six in an hour...but no worries, folks! They stopped after I drank plenty of water, relaxed a little, and made sure my bladder stayed empty!)
Size of Baby:
Bok Choy (around 16-17 inches and 4 pounds, per the baby apps...keep reading for a more accurate weight)
Milestones/Happenings:
Miss Reagan is definitely running out of room in there! Her movements have gotten to be less spastic and more "rolly polly"; sometimes it makes me feel as though she is trying to come through my skin! lol She is able to open her eyes, which you'll see on the u/s pics. She is also "rooting" (a reflex babies have when they're born that lets you know they're hungry); she did this a lot on the u/s, too, which makes sense because she and I were both starving! The poor thing was looking for something to eat!
If she were to be born now, her chances of survival would be very good (PTL)! She could potentially have problems with sucking and nursing, but those would get better with age. All in all, our little miracle is almost ready to make her debut---I can't wait!!
Belly Pics:
Just when I feel like my belly has reached it's max stretchability, it grows some more! And all of a sudden, I have a very light "linea nigra" (the dark line some women get on their bellies during pregnancy due to surges of hormones) underneath my belly button...it just popped up sometime after thirty weeks, which is an odd time for it to show up (usually it's around the second trimester and then continues to get darker). But I think it's sort of cute, and makes my bump look more "bumptastic"! ;) Lol! (I would post a picture of my new-found line, but it doesn't show up in the pics too well.)
Alllllrighty, now time for a 4D ultrasound summary and pics!
It was soooo amazing to see how much Reagan has changed since our last 4D was done---she actually looks like a BABY now! Eeeek! She was VERY well behaved during the whole thing...wiggling, yawning, sticking her tongue out, sucking on her hand, opening her eyes...she was quite the entertainer! Both my husband's and my parents were able to be there, which made the experience even sweeter. There were lots of "oooohhh's", "aaaaahhh's", and "did you see that?!" over every thing she did, which I think it bound to continue once she joins us on the outside, too! ;)
My guess when we went into the u/s was that she would weigh somewhere around 3.5 pounds. We're not expecting her to be a huge baby, since her Daddy and I were both right at 6 pounds when we were born (and we were both a little late). Well...the u/s tech gave us all a good shock when she announced Miss Priss is weighing somewhere around 4.5 pounds already! Yes, you read that right: FOUR AND A HALF POUNDS! I have no clue where all of that baby is hiding! Now, on average, babies gain about half a pound a week for the last two months, so she could be somewhere around 8.5 pounds when she's born...YIKES! Needless to say, I was a little flabbergasted and slightly scared after we heard that! LOL
Because of her weight (and head size), she's measuring somewhere around 33W1D, which would make her due July 18th instead of the 27th. I'm all for it, as long as she's healthy and happy! :)
Reagan is still head down, which is where she's been ever since our last u/s. I was correct in thinking she was lying in sort of a "L" shape in my belly...with her tushie on my right side (she likes to push it up against my ribs) and her legs/feet on my left side. Hopefully she'll stay head down and get into "position" in the next few weeks in preparation for her big debut!
Now, here are just a few of my fave pics...
The u/s tech said that most babies nose's look flattened in 4D, so we know more than likely, this is not the nose she'll be born with. But those lips are definitely all hers, and she gets them from me! ;)
Here she is with her eyes open...well, one eye, anyway. I guess she was sleepy and rubbing the other eye with her little fist.
This was one of the first images of her (before the u/s probe interrupted her beauty sleep). She quickly woke up and started "showing off" after that!
Sucking on her hand while simultaneously trying to shield herself from the paparazzi, lol.
It's kind of hard to see here, but she's sticking her little tongue out at us. I mean, seriously. How precious is she???
My husband and I keep playing the DVD they gave us of the u/s and looking at her pictures...we are just so in love with this tiny, sweet miracle! If it's even possible, we are even MORE excited to meet her now! T minus seven weeks and five days till that happens (give or take a few)!!!
Well, that's all, folks! We are about to head out and find something for me to wear for my maternity shoot (which is this Saturday--yaaaay!) and then run a few more errands. I do plan on posting the shower/nursery details later this week, so check back in with us!
Verse of the Day (this is perfect for thanking God for the blessings He showered us with this weekend!): "I will bless the Lord at all time; His praise will continually be on my lips!" (Psalm 34:1)

My Current Countdown
Okay, if you guys know anything about me by now, it's that I love a good countdown to prepare for exciting events! So here's the newest (rather short) one...
T minus two days (forty-six hours to be exact) till we get to see Baby Reagan at the 4D ultrasound!!!
EEEEK!
We are beyond excited to see how much our little girl has grown, what sort of "personality" she has now, and (here's the big question) if she have any hair on that head of hers! Lord knows her Meme (my mom) can't give birth to babies with hair, so I'm praying that's not hereditary! LOL
Our appointment is at 5pm, which is perfect timing, because my parents are arriving into town sometime around 3pm. It's going to be so special to have them and my husband's parents at the ultrasound to take a sneak peek of our miracle---I can't wait!
Not only do we have the ultrasound (and my parent's visit) to look forward to this weekend, but this Saturday is also our last baby shower! To say I am looking forward to this party is a huuuuuge understatement. I am ecstatic to see our wonderful friends and family again as we come together to celebrate this blessing God is delivering to us in just a few more weeks! So bring on the baby shower games, the laughs, the belly rubs (I really don't mind, in case you're wondering ;) ), and the dessert bar (yes...that was my idea...lol)---I'm ready! :)
Now, because of all of the excitement that will going on around here, I probably won't be able to post Peanut's ultrasound pictures or pictures from her shower until sometime after my parents leave on Sunday. But I promise I will blog as soon as possible!
Till then, y'all have a great rest of the work week and a wonderful weekend! And keep this upbeat Verse of the Day in your back pocket to make you smile throughout the day: "Happy are the people whose God is the Lord!" (Psalm 144:15)

Thirty-One Weeks
We're in the single digits now, y'all! Nine weeks left! Yippy!
Things have been a little busy this week, and I'm definitely starting to feel it now...this Mommy's tired!
To begin with, my nesting instincts have kicked in full force, which means there has been lots of cleaning and organizing going on in this house! I finally managed to organize every space that was on my list (including the entire attic closet...Christmas decorations and all!), which felt soooo good to accomplish! Now I can honestly say there are no closets, cabinets, or drawers in this house that aren't neat and tidy...but I know it won't stay like that for long once Peanut arrives! lol
I've also been working on a few crafts (like a hair bow/headband holder for Miss Reagan's room) and finishing up some shopping for other friend's baby gifts. I feel like I live at Hobby Lobby and Babies R ' Us nowadays! Haha!
As well as marking things off my To-Do list, my friend, Stacey (who also had fertility issues), delivered her precious little girl via c-section on Wednesday! PTL! She was a whoppin' nine pounds, eleven ounces (and that was two and a half weeks early)---whew! I got to see Stacey in the hospital, but missed getting to see Miss Chunky-Butt, so I plan on making a visit to their house sometime next week so I can hold that sweet miracle! :)
So, that was MY busy week. Let's see what Reagan's been doing in there!
Symptoms:
-fatigue (even more so after this week, but that's a given!)
-restlessness
-heartburn/indigestion (not as bad as before though---thank God!)
-leg cramps
-achy back/hips
-more frequent Braxton Hicks contractions (I had as many as three in three hours the other night...guess my body is getting some good practice in for the big marathon called labor!)
-nausea (on and off)
-shortness of breath (I notice this more when I'm moving around a lot or when she's lodged in my rib cage)
Size of Baby:
Bunch of Asparagus (around 16 inches long and 3.3-3.5 pounds)
Milestones/Happenings:
Reagan is starting to shed that coat of fine hair that has been helping to keep her warm for the last seven and a half months. But where will it go once she gets rid of it? Good question! She actually will ingest it (just like she does her amniotic fluid), and this will be part of what makes up that first oh-so pleasant poopie when she's born (also know as "meconium")! Gross, huh? I tell ya, it's amazing what happens in utero!
Belly Pics:
I'm definitely starting to feel uncomfortable by this point! She is taking up all the space from my pubic bone to my ribs, as well as from one hip to the other (I know this because I can feel movements in all four areas at once---it's cray-cray!), which makes getting comfy way more difficult. But I know it'll all be worth it when I get to hold my tiny blessing in just nine more weeks!
I don't usually post pics of my belly from the front, but I figured why not throw one in there today (you know, for poops and giggles ;) )? Can you see my poor belly button holding on for dear life in there?? I have a feeling it's going to lose the battle before this kid comes! lol
Now it's time for a little din-din (homemade taco twist soup...yummmm!) and relaxing with my honey! Who knows, maybe he'll even feel really generous and rub these super sore calves for me....(Yes, my dear, that was a not-so-subtle hint! Haha!)
I hope you all have a fab three-day weekend filled with lots of sunshine and family fun! Reagan and I will be back sometime mid-week, so please stay tuned! God bless!
Verse of the Day: "Those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow tired; they will walk and not become weary." (Isaiah 40:31) A great verse to remember for those of you who feel like your own "trials" are never going to end, or perhaps those of you who just feel run down from life's day-to-day struggles. No matter what you're going through or how tired you are, God will and does give us the strength to persevere! Thank you, Father, for this everlasting promise! :)

Thirty Weeks and A Baby Shower
Yes, that's right.
THIRTY weeks.
Only ten more weeks (or nine weeks and five days as of today, which sounds even better to me!) till Reagan Elizabeth will be making her debut! It's getting more real and more exciting every day!
We had our first baby shower for our little Peanut (which was actually the "theme" of the shower---how sweet!) last weekend, which was soooo much fun! My husband and I feel so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends to celebrate this amazing chapter of our lives with! I'm posting a few pics of the shower below with my belly pic so you can see just a little bit of the cuteness that went into my shower!
But first, an update on how the bay-bay's doing!
Symptoms:
-fatigue
-restlessness
-unable to eat a whole lot at one time (my stomach feels sort of "upset" after I eat, too...but smaller meals seem to help with this somewhat)
-headaches (off and on)
-achy legs/back/hips
-shortness of breath (mainly when Reagan tucks herself up under my ribs...ouch!)
-bleeding (don't freak out---it's not THAT kind of bleeding! My gums and nose bleed for no reason, and when I knicked my toe at Hobby Lobby today, I bled like a stuck pig. I swear, it looked like a massacre at the checkout counter! No bueno! lol)
-pregnancy brain (this is getting worse...God help those who have to put up with my frequent brain farts! LOL)
Size of Baby:
According to my Pregnancy App, she's grown from a "small head of cabbage" to a "large head of cabbage". (I know, that doesn't give you much to go on, huh? lol) Measurement wise, she should be around 15.7 inches long and 2.75-3 pounds. Baby girl is plumping up!
Milestones/Happenings:
She is more aware of her surroundings now, and it seems like EVERYthing wakes her up! (Please, Lord, let her get used to these sounds in utero so she can sleep like a log once she's here!) Her sense of taste and smell are also heightened right now...which might explain why she always gets all worked up when I start cooking something yummy?? Hey, it's possible! ;)
Belly Pic(s):
Even though my weight hasn't increased this week, my belly size sure has! I've noticed it looks larger depending on where she's laying...and in this pic, I believe she was all balled up front and center . I can also tell where she's laying based on my belly button (I know, that sounds odd, lol); if she is higher up and poking out, my belly button pokes out more (even though it's still definitely an "innie"). If she's lower down, my belly button looks a lot more "normal". Weird, huh? It's kind of fun to play "guess where Reagan is?!" though! :)
Now, I know I've never posted a full picture of myself, but I figured the time has come to "introduce" myself to those of you who think I'm just a walking belly! lol So here are a couple of full pics of The Bump and I at my baby shower last weekend!
And lastly, here are a few picturess of the details of the shower...my mom, sister-in-law, aunt, and cousin did an AWESOME job of making my "baby shower dreams" come true! Thank you again, guys! Reagan and I love you all very much!!
Here's the cake, which was just as delicious as it was adorable!!
My cousin, Rebecca, took the time to wrap a bunch of little Hershey's chocolates with these super cute wrappers, which matched the "My Little Peanut" theme! Presh!
My MIL had this wreath custom-made on Etsy for our baby girl...isn't it gorgeous?? We plan on using it for the showers, then hanging it on our door once we bring Reagan home. Shoot, it's so cute, I might just leave it up all year round! ;)
Well, that's it folks! I'll update you guys again this Saturday!
Until then, it's time for the Verse of the Day, which will hopefully help you all get through the busy work week! Matthew 5:16 says, "...Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." I love this verse because it is a reminder that we are to be examples for Christ, and that people really DO watch and hear what we say and do! May everything we do and say this week (and beyond) bring honor to God and further His kingdom! :)
Hey, it's possible! ;)

Finally, this diaper wreath was made by my sweet sister-in-law (who I've dubbed "Aunt Coco") and definitely added a little something extra to the gift table! (There was a glittery "R" that was supposed to be on it, too, but it refused to cooperate, lol.)
