"But if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea', and it would obey you." -Luke 17:6

Reagan's Three Month Birthday

Our Peanut is officially three months old today!

Eek!!

To keep in line with my last "birthday" post, I'll update ya'll
on Reagan's latest stats and happenings...

Temperament:

While still fussy at times (more so now that the time is changing--
I swear these babies can sense it!), she is quite the happy baby!
She likes to "gum" people (smile so big she shows her gums), giggle,
and wrinkle her nose right before she busts into a full-on grin.

Weight:

Reagan has gained another two pounds this month;
she weighs in at twelve and a half pounds now!
Gah!
(Of course this was after her breakfast...
so she was a little bloated. ;) )
She has thigh rolls and a few mid-forearm rolls, which her
Daddy insists isn't normal, lol.
But I love it!

Clothes:

Obviously, with the recent growth spurt Lil Bit went through,
some of her clothes are fitting a wee bit tighter than
they were a few weeks ago.
She is primarily in 3 month clothes, although
it depends on the brand.
(Carter's my fave, because they tend to fit the best.)

Milestones:

When I began this post this morning, there wasn't a whole lot
new to report in this area.
Reagan is working on laughing--I can't to hear that
big ole belly laugh for the first time!
She is grabbing for things (my shirt, her clothes, burp cloths, etc),
but isn't reaching out for things yet.
Buuuut...
while doing a little tummy time this afternooon,
guess what Miss Priss decided to do for Mommy?

ROLL OVER!!

That's right---my baby girl rolled over for the first time
today!  She went from tummy to back
all by herself.
Obviously, I couldn't be more proud! :)

Pictures:

"I want milk!  I want milk!
Give me the milk!  Give me the milk!"

"Boo!  Are you scared?  Was I scary??
I've been working on that all month."
:)

Miss Cutie Patootie

Working on her balancing skills in her exersaucer.

Enjoying some tummy time outside with Mommy!

And enjoying her first road trip to see her
Meme and Papa
(during which she managed to sleep four of the five
hours---score!)

Reagan and her "birthday twin", Cousin Marseille (mar-SAY)
meeting for the first time!
They were both so excited--can't you tell? lol

Pretty in pink!

During her three month photo shoot this
morning!  She's getting so big!

Alrighty, y'all.
That's all!
Time to go enjoy some quality time with the hubs
while Baby Girl is at her GG's for a few hours!
I'll be back again next week...
and who knows, with as quickly as this chick is growing,
she might be driving by then! lol

I hope you all have a blessed week!

Verse/Thought of the Day:

"If you can?", says Jesus.
"Everything is possible for he who believes."

Almost 1/3 Year Old

Miss Peanut is a whole twelve weeks old today!

That means that next week she'll be four months---
or a third of the way through her first year!

I'd better start the partying planning,
because July will be here before I know it!
Major eek!

So what's been going on since last week, you ask?
Well...

Baby Girl is still working on rolling over,
but her tummy time skills have definitely improved.
I keep recording her with my phone thinking
she will flop over any minute!

She prefers standing to sitting.
We went ahead and bought her an exersaucer so she can work
on those leg muscles, but she hasn't quite figured out
how to do anything but stand on her
tippy toes. ;)

She's trying very hard to reach out and touch objects.
She'll focus really hard on what she wants to
grab and then stare at her closed fist,
but she can't seem to make that fist open and get it
to the object itself.
I'm sure she'll get the hang of that soon...
then I'd better keep my hair in a ponytail and stay away
from dangly earrings,
because I'm sure she'll be grabbing
whatever she can get her hands on! lol

Reagan has officially grown out of her "newborn" clothes.
There were a couple of outfits that she still could squeeze into,
but the chunkiness will no longer fit into them.
(Insert sad face here.)
I haven't weighed her lately
(I will next week for her four month post),
but I'm sure she's pushing twelve and a half pounds by now.
Little Bit has got some thigh rolls, chubby cheeks,
and is working on a decent double chin.
I love my chunky little girl! :)

I'm taking her to get her ears pierced tomorrow--eek!
I'll be sure to post pics of her new "accessories" next week.
Prayers are appreciated because if she reacts
to the ear piercing like she did her two month shots,
this mama's gonna need some anti-anxiety medicine! lol

Now, let's take a peek at Miss Thing...

Enjoying play time with Mommy in the morning...this is one of my
favorite times of the day! (Nap time is a close second ;) )

This is her "I've been caught--try to look cute!" face.
Bahaha!

"Oh, you know...just watching TV with my Mom."
She's a fan of The Little Couple, too!

This is her expression at first when I make "motor boat"
noises with my mouth.
Then she bursts out into a smile.
Love it!

Bubbles!!

Exploring her new exersaucer...

"Loooooook into my eeeeeeyes...
now giiiiiive me the boooooottle..."

All smiles in the morning!
Love it when she wakes up happy!

As I close today's post, I want to ask for extra prayers for a friend of mine.
I have known her since middle school and our moms used to
work together "back in the day" (lol).
She is going through her own infertility battle,
and God allowed me to reach out to her through Facebook and through this blog.
She has been trying for over five years to have a baby,
and just went through her first IUI.
She is having her first beta test done sometime this week,
so pleeeeease keep her in your prayers as they await their BFP!
God has a unique plan for her life,
and I know He's going to use her for big, big things!

I also want to give a "shout out" to our amazing God!
Another friend of mine
---the one who underwent IVF shortly after I did---
just gave birth to her adorable son, Ridge, after TTC for nearly three years.
How awesome is our Father?!
He never ceases to amaze me!

Well, y'all, that's all for this week.  I'll be back next week
for Reagan's four month post!

Verse/Thought of the Day:

"This God--His way is perfect. The word of the Lord proves to be true.  He is a shield for all those who take refuge in Him."
-Psalm 18:30

And just because this one is so fitting, too...

"In my day of trouble I call upon You, for You answer me."
-Psalm 86:7

Eleven Weeks and Four Years

This week we get to celebrate two special "events":

Miss Reagan is eleven weeks old yesterday and the hubs and I will
celebrate four years of marriage on Thursday!

Man, time sure does fly by when you're having fun
(and trying to make a baby)!

Usually around this time of year,
we would be jumping on a plane, heading to some place
new and exciting to spend our anniversary.
But this year, we'll be spending it at home with the greatest gift God
could give to celebrate the love between two people:
our precious daughter!

(Well, okay, we'll be going to a nice, quiet dinner to have some alone time.
But then it's home to put Peanut to bed and catch up on
some of our recorded television shows.
That's my idea of a fab date night!)

Now, I know this may sound "cliche", but it has to be said.
I really am the luckiest woman in the world to be married to my husband.
Just when I thought our life couldn't get any better,
we get to share the joys (and yes, the trials) of parenting a child together.

He has been there every step of the way.
Through the tears, disappointments, and pain of infertility.
Through the mood swings, cravings, and complaints of pregnancy.
Through the worry, waiting, and recovery of childbirth.
And now through the sleep-deprivation, uncertainty,
and constant learning of parenthood.

Now I won't say it's been easy.
Lord knows there have been days when I
just want to pinch his adorable little head off
(sorry, honey, but it's true! lol).

But through it all, we've grown closer.
I love him more now than I ever thought possible.
Even more than the day I met him.
Even more than the day
I saw him waiting for me at the end of the aisle.
Even more than the day I saw him holding
our sweet baby girl for the first time
and admiring how beautiful she was.
I love him more than yesterday but less than tomorrow.
And I thank God for him...

Every. Single. Day.

Happy Anniversary, Babe!

Okay, now that I've gone and made myself cry (happy tears, of course)...
how about some pictures of Miss Reagan Elizabeth? :)

This was after quite a good discussion about her day...
this little girl loves a good chat!

Trying to figure out what that wrist rattle is for...

Apparently that mystery took a lot of energy to figure out
and a nap was required, lol.

I swear, this kid will eat just about anything.  Nightgown included.

Headed to her cousin Jacob's birthday party!
(I don't know what the "deer in headlights" look was for.
You'd think she'd be used to having the camera in her
face by now. Haha.)

Giggles with Daddy :)

If you're thinking this look preceded a poop explosion...
you would be correct.
Whew doggie! lol

Rockin' some stripes.
Ain't she purdy?

Tummy time with Mommy!
She's getting stronger every day...
just waiting for her to tip over on her own now!

Well, guys, that concludes this week's post!  I'll try to be more prompt on posting
every Monday, but it doesn't always work out that way with this tater tot! ;)
I hope y'all have a blessed week!

Verse/Thought of the Day:

"The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
and His ears are attentive to their cry..."

Psalm 34:15

Our Heavenly Father is always
watching and listening to us,
and He always answers our prayers
and cries for help.
But we have to remember that sometimes
He says "no".

That doesn't mean He won't
deliver you from the trial
you are going through...
it just means that the way He goes about
delivering you might not be
the way you planned.

I am living proof that His way is always better.

Ten Weeks?!

Time is going by waaaay too quickly here, people.

I demand it stop---immediately!

Well, at least for a little bit so I can get all of the snuggles out of
Miss Priss I can before she's rolling her eyes at me when I try to
kiss her outside her kindergarten classroom.
That'll be here before you know it!

(Sigh)

So, what's new with Reagan, you ask?  Rather than growing like a weed (seriously!),
she hasn't learned any new "tricks" in the last week.

She has adopted a few new sounds though, such as the wonderful "fake cry", lol.
And she really seems to enjoy the silly noises the hubs and I make at her---
they always get at least one smile!

She also loves it when I sing to her...which tells me she must me tone deaf like myself,
because my singing is quite horrendous!
Her favorite songs I sing are (brace yourself): Michael Bolton's "Soul Provider",
The Jackson Five's "ABC", and (as of last night) Sonny and Cher's "I've Got You Babe".
I know, she has an old soul, doesn't she? ;)

We're working on helping her roll over, but she hasn't mastered that technique yet.
Anytime she goes from her tummy to her back (with our help) she seems utterly shocked, lol.
But I'm sure she'll make it happen on her own soon!

Picture time!

This is one happy, happy, happy baby!
She's laughing at her Mommy's awesomeness...I'm sure of it. ;)

Enjoying a little tummy time on her Daddy's chest.

This is post poop-explosion (she's clean and in a new outfit, of course)...
see the look of guilt on that sweet face? lol

Her beloved GG celebrated a birthday on Saturday, so Baby Girl had to send her
a special shout-out via Facebook (she's holding a sign, which got cropped out of the picture...
I know, I'm not that bright).

Again, one of her 2, 396, 183 expressions.
I call this one the "I don't know" shoulder shrug, lol.

Sporting her first ever tutu while attending a football party.
:)

Some more tummy time on her bear mat...she was taking a break during this pic.

This was a "selfie" done by Miss Thing...with a little help from Mommy. ;)

This one is from this morning.  She was in between smiles.
(I think she's figured out what the camera means, lol.)

Now we're off to get our shop on with her GG!
Then lunch at our fave Vietnamese joint and a much-needed haircut for me!
It's going to be a great day, guys!
Till next time...

Verse/Thought of the Day:

Our light and monetary troubles are achieving for us an
eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

2 Corinthians 4:17

No matter what this life throws at us...
no matter how bad things seem...
nothing will matter
once we see our King!

(You like how I rhymed there, don't ya? Hehe.)

Reagan's Two Month Birthday

Miss Reagan celebrated another "birthday" on Sunday---a whole two months!

Let's see what's new in the world of Miss Thing...

Temperament:

She is a lot less fussy than she was a few weeks ago---PTL!
She smiles a lot and thinks things like explosive poops, ceiling fans,
and Mom's monkey noises are funny.
However, woe be to the person who tries to take her meal from her...
Baby Girl likes to eat and won't stop till the bottle
(or Mommy) is drained!

Weight:

According to our personal baby scale, she's weighing in at a
hefty ten and a half pounds.
We'll get a more accurate weight at her two month appointment tomorrow,
but it looks like that milk is doing her (not-so-tiny-anymore) body good! ;)
She's moved on up from newborn diapers to size one.
This was right on time after we had to "blowouts" resulting in a bath,
which we contributed to the diapers getting to be too small, lol.

Clothes:

She has grown out of her newborn outfits (well, most of them)
and is filling out the 0-3 and 3 month stuff quite nicely.
It's amazing to see how she changes so quickly--one week an outfit fits her and
the next her belly is hanging out or her "pants" turn into "capris".
Luckily, Miss Priss doesn't have a shortage of things to wear...
as you can tell by her pictures!
Let's just say shopping for little girls is a lot of fun, and her
Mommy and GG have enjoyed doing it! lol

Milestones:

Reagan can hold her head up very well, but doesn't like the traditional "tummy time".
She loves it when her Daddy holds her though
and she can push back off his chest and take a look around.
She's so inquisitive!
She is constantly checking things out and is hard toget to sleep at times unless
we're in her dark nursery with white noise on.
Even then, she's looking at the ceiling fan, the light peeking through the shutters,
and just about anything else that she deems interesting.
She's a hoot--that's for sure! :)
She can sit up in her activity seat without support and likes to lay on her gym mat
and watch all of the lights and listen to the music.
This occupies her for at least a good twenty minutes,
which gives me enough time to do a few chores!

Pictures:

"Yes, little girl in the front.  Do you have a question?" LOL

Smirking for the camera...

Snoozing during an outing with her peeps.  She definitely likes car rides!

I believe something peaked her interest, lol.

My pretty little model in the making...:)

One of her "two month" photos.
We love to see the progression from month to month!
I'll be sure to post them all together
once she's a little older so you all can see it, too!

That's all for now!  I'll post next week about her appointment this week
(which includes five shots---ahhh!), so stay tuned!  Have a blessed day, y'all!

Verse/Thought of the Day:

"Let my heart not be drawn to evil things,
to take part in wicked deeds with men who are evildoers;
let me not eat of their delicacies."

Psalm 141:4

I am not one to speak on political matters, but I will say this...
in a world that is getting more and more desperate and evil everyday,
I pray for us all to keep our eyes on what is good and pure
and benefiting to God's kingdom.
